Materials get chosen in person, not from a laminated card. Stone varies pallet to pallet and brick varies run to run, so outdoor living and masonry selections happen against real samples — you approve what will actually be installed, not a photograph of something like it.

The measure of outdoor living and masonry work isn't how it photographs on completion day — nearly anything looks good for a week. It's how the joints, the grade, and the finish are holding at year ten, and that's the standard the work is built against.
